One Way opened in 2013 in a converted print shop off Emma Ave. Twelve years later we're still in the same building, still by appointment only, and still turning down more work than we take. This page is the long answer to 'who are you?'
We started One Way because the shops we came up in were treating tattoos like widgets — line up, pick a design off the wall, walk out an hour later. That model works for some. It never worked for the kind of work we wanted to make.
So we built a studio that runs on the opposite premise: fewer clients, longer consultations, custom designs, and the quiet room to actually finish them. Every piece that leaves this building is one we'd put in our own portfolio, because we did.
That's the whole story. The rest is standards.
How we actually operate.
Custom, always.
Every design is drawn for one person. We don't recycle flash, we don't copy other artists, and we won't tattoo a reference sheet you pulled off Pinterest without reworking it into something yours.
Sterile, transparent.
Single-use needles, hospital-grade barriers, an autoclave you're welcome to look at. Our BBP certifications and shop license are on the wall — not filed away.

You'll know the full price before we set up the machine. No hourly meters, no surprise add-ons, no pressure to size up.

We design and place tattoos to hold their form for decades. If a piece won't age well, we'll tell you before we start — not after.
